PharmaIN's Reversible Binding (PRB™) is
a key component to our novel approach to drug delivery. PharmaIN
scientists employ the use of reversible binding chemistries to attach
drug payloads to our proprietary carrier molecules. The use of reversible
binding (i.e. non-covalent binding) provides several advantages
over existing drug delivery technologies:
1) preserves the structure and activity of the
active drug payload
2) typically does NOT require modification of
the active drug molecule to be delivered
3) is designed to favor release of drug payload
at the receptor site, or action site for a drug
4) can potentially avoid "new chemical entity"
status for regulatory purposes, thus accelerating product development
and commercialization opportunities
5) not limited to one form of binding technology
or chemistry
6) formulations can be created quickly, readied
for preclinical testing in a matter of a months in many instances
