PharmaIN and Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute announce preclinical research collaboration to study new drug combination to treat diabetes
PharmaIN Corporation and Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute (PNDRI) announced today that they are collaborating on a project to evaluate the benefit of combining PharmaIN’s long-acting formulation of native, human GLP-1 (PGC GLP-1) with sitagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) inhibitor marketed by Merck under the brand name JANUVIA™.

PharmaIN announces award from National Institutes of Health to formulate potential new therapy to treat serious staphylococcal infections including MRSA
The multi-year, $400,000 award from NIH will advance early stage development of the Company's novel formulation of an anti-infective drug to combat MRSA.
On February 20, 2008, PharmaIN Corporation announced that the Company received a Notice of Grant Award (NGA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of the project "Nanocarrier with metal bridge for affinity based delivery of metal binding peptide." The grant award is for $400,000 over two years and will support the Company's research to develop a convenient, single administration therapy to treat infections caused by the bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus, especially targeting methicillin-resistant or vancomycin-resistant strains (commonly called MRSA and VRSA). This award also makes possible additional support for the project in the form of a $1.2MM phase 2 SBIR award.
