Jim Foght, PhD, Chairman

Dr. Foght has over 40 years experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries. He was a co-founder of DuPont Pharmaceuticals and the Founder and President of Vector Securities, a premier investment banking firm specializing in early-stage biotechnology ventures. He holds many advisory positions. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of IllinoisVENTURES LLC, an organization that commercializes University of Illinois technologies, and on the investment committee of the Vector Later-Stage Equity Funds and Board of Director Illinois Emerging Technology Fund.

Elijah M. Bolotin, PhD

Tibor Papp, MD, PhD, MBA

Dr. Papp is a senior corporate advisor with two decades of healthcare industry experience. He has supported leading pharmaceutical corporations and innovative biotechnology companies in generating growth, re-engineering their business, commercializing their innovations and achieving transformational strategic deals. Dr. Papp is also a qualified orthopaedic surgeon, with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

John Presutti, MBA

In over 30 years in the pharmaceutical business, Mr. Presutti has served as a marketing and business development executive at GD Searle and managed commercial activities for Curatek Pharmaceuticals. Most recently he started and ultimately divested Presutti Laboratories after successfully bringing an antibacterial agent to the US Market. He has successfully taken drugs through the regulatory and commercialization process, both for large pharma and as an independent entrepreneur.

Les Salans, MD

Dr. Salans is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of diabetes mellitus, obesity, and endocrinology. He has broad and extensive experience in biomedical research, clinical medicine, and administration in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and in government. Dr. Salans received his M.D. from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, followed by internship and residency in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and The Rockefeller University. Previously he has served as VP, Scientific and Academic Affairs and Deputy President for the Sandoz Research Institute, and held top level clinical positions at the NIH. Currently he is Clinical Professor and member of the Clinical Staff at Mt. Sinai, Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Columbia University Medical Center, and serves on the board of Forest Laboratories, Inc.
